Crispy Fresh! New Music This Week

We have officially checked into what is referred to as the Kenyan Winter. It’s so cold such that some parts of Kenya reached 12 degrees during the night while we are averaging 16-22 degrees during the day. We hope you are keeping warm and taking care of yourselves. Let us help you update that Kenyan flow playlist with new records.

Bahati Feat Rayvanny – Kiss

Mtoto Wa Mama Bahati just dropped debut album dubbed ‘Love Like This’ which has hit over a million streams on Booplay in a week. This single ‘Kiss’ that features Tanzanian Bongo star Rayvanny is a highly sought-after single on the album. The two just dropped the video of this jam and the views are impressive already. This jam brings out a love theme and the two acts gel so well on the storyline. Check out the video below.

Willy Paul – Kamataa

Former Gospel star Willy Pozee is angry. He is particularly mad at Tanzanian shining star Diamond Platnumz for stealing his song. Diamond dropped a jam called ‘Kamata’ and Willy Paul is convinced the star copied his beat. He is retaliating by releasing a jam with the same title. On the record, he mentions people are not respecting him enough and he will go on putting out hit records for stars to copy. Check out the record below.

Mbuzi Gang Feat Fik Fameica – Bambi

One of the hottest Gengetone era group is Mbuzi Gang. With just a couple of songs out, they are never far off from a hit song. The crew just crossed borders over to Uganda to link up with Fik Fameica aka Fresh Boy. They collaborated on this jam dubbed ‘Bambi’ which has a Dancehall/Kapuka ring to it albeit being Gengetone. The jam brings a cultural diversity in language and party themes. Check out the video below.
