Crispy Fresh! New Music From The Kenyan Scene This Week!

As we wind up yet another month, we are edging close to the end of the year but we are grateful to see each day. It is our sincere hope you are keeping safe, masking up and protecting yourself and your loved ones during these crazy times. As you quarantine, check out these new bangers dropping in the 254 this week.

Khaligraph Jones – Tuma Kitu

The OG last dropped a jam in January and now he is back with another banger. In between the 5 months, he’s been collaborating with his peers but it is about time we hear his own track. ‘Tuma Kitu’ is the new Trap heat from the OG that echoes the current state of affairs. He is coming for his money and everyone who owes him needs to pay up. Check out the video below and see the OG dancing and a dope sketch in the video.

Kahu$h & Chris Kaiga – Mastingo

We never thought this day would dawn upon us but it is here. Two young kings teaming up and dropping an anthem. The love Nairobi has for both cats is immense and just to think they are a year old into the game is crazy. Chris Kaiga and Kahush have teamed up on this Hip Hop banger ‘Mastingo’ which is Sheng for styles. The jam speaks for the younger generation, from the English-Swahili rap style, the video has a dope storyboard and the sense storyline is hectic. Check out the video below.

Benzema & Murasta – Paka Permit

Benzema from Ochungulo family is steadily creating his own niche as a solo act and he is raking in the views and respect. ‘Paka permit’ is a public service announcement against rape and speaks for rape victims. The two acts team up telling their story about rape but urge us all to be the voice against rape. Listen to the jam keenly below.

Sanaipei Tande РKunitema

Songstress extraordinaire Sanaipei Tande is consistent with the content for the year 2020. She is back with another love story about dating, marriage, and the entanglements involved. Kunitema depicts the succumbing to typical societal pressure of getting into marriage, prepared or not for the challenges and the stigma and supposed hardship that comes with being unmarried and/or removing oneself from it. Check out the video below.
