Crispy Fresh! New Music From The Kenyan Scene This Week

I know most of us are tired of the stay at home directives by the government and crave the feeling to be out there. But a little more patience will keep you safe while protecting others. For your home entertainment, here is our weekly feature where we put you on to the hottest jams that just dropped.

Arrow Bwoy Feat Kristoff & Zzero Sufuri

This is one hot collabo that we never saw coming. Arrow Bwoy is talking to us about the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to self-preserve. He lays out the directives on social distancing, sanitizing and washing hands. Kristoff and Zzero stay on theme and key spreading positivity and the need to stay safe. This is a banger that needs government involvement as a countrywide soundtrack.

Nelly The Goon – Kontrol

One of the pioneers of the Gengetone movement is still at it but his messaging has taken a turn. ‘Kontrol’ paints a picture of hood politics and livity. He urges his peers to take control of their lives while making the best of any situation. The jam Ramoon hits different with a soulful Afro-Blend that makes it an easy listen.

Octopizzo Feat Barak Jacuzzi

The number one sound in the Hip-Hop realm is Drill sound. This is a sub-genre of Trap and it was made popular by the likes of Pop Smoke, Fivio Foreign and all Chicago rappers. We know Octopizzo is an early adopter and he has the jam ‘Chebukati’ on this top sound. The two cats deliver some heavy street-influenced bars, top rhymes and create a vibe on this. Check it out below.

Breeder LW – Bila Bazenga Inaboh

One of the up and coming rappers jostling for a spot on the main stage is Breeder LW. He brings forth the street banter, fire bars and top-flight storytelling. He is the underdog we are rooting for. This new record is just Breeder going in talking about the state of rap, his input in the game, his crew and his life. I can guarantee that your will press rewind on this record.
