Crispy Fresh: New Music From The Kenyan Scene This Week!

Another month is upon us and we are wondering where time is rushing to. We have this week’s installation of new beats dropping plus what is hot and trendy in the music scene.

Sauti Sol feat Sho Madjozi – Disco Matanga (Yambakhana)

We are not over the banger ‘Suzzana’ by Sauti Sol but the boy-band has decided to keep up busy. The band teamed up with South Africa’s queen Sho Madjozi for this club banger and the delivery is topnotch. Sho Madjozi flips on Swahili while Bien goes in Abaluhya style on the rap. This us a fire gem.

Redsan Feat Ommy Dimpoz – Panda

Redsan is working hard to stay relevant and keep doing what he loves year in year out. He teams up with Ommy Dimpoz for this Afro-Dancehall track which comes off a club jam. With very easy lyrics and melodies, Redsan wanna win back the ladies and the dancing styles.

King Kaka Feat Mbithi – Uko

King Kaka is always shining a light on artists we should pay attention to. We know Mbithi but his career has not taken off properly albeit being extra talented. On this record, the two go back and forth with dope rhyme patterns and imagery. This record is produced by iLogos music off the upcoming Servant & The King Mixtape.

Fatboy Gwaash Feat VDJ Jones, Kappy, Iano Rankin, K4 Kanali – Patia

The hype about the new age music construct ‘Gengetone’ is dwindling down but the godfathers like Fatboy Gwaash and his crew are still pushing it. This new record keeps it street and takes up the usual politicians punchline as the hook. The beat slaps hard and the lyrics will have you rewinding over and over. Check it out below.
