Crispy Fresh: New Music From The 254 Scene

21 May of 2018 by

Here’s to another where we take a look at what’s hot and trendy from the local scene and bring you which music is making head’s nod. Here is your weekly installment of new music dropping in the 254 music space.

Victoria Kimani – Wonka

Ms Kimani has had an interesting 2018 so far. She got entangled with the usual KOT shenanigans right before her Kenyan tour, and trust us a fight with KOT (Kenyans On Twitter) is not a good career move. Her previous single ‘China Love’ has been getting incredible radio spins. She just dropped ‘Wonka’ and it sounds like a Radio hit. The video helps send the message home about what the jam is all about with so many innuendos.

Bobby Mapesa, Calvo Mistari & Fena – Love Me

It’s been a while since BC (Bobby Mapesa & Calvo Mistari) dropped a record since ‘Nawapenda Wote’. Now the pair has taken a chance and brought in phenomenal woman Fena for a collabo – Love Me. Fena brings her poise and vocal range to deliver a smooth chorus. The boys do what they do best on the verses making it memorable.

Magix Enga Feat Gabu & Rankadah – Wanaringa

Producer extraordinaire Magix Enga seems like the go-to person for a perfect collabo at this point in the industry. Wanaringa is a club banger featuring P-Unit’s Gabu and Rankadah with that pacy dancehall beat and easy flows for easy repetition. Magix lays down the beat and is on a verse as well giving the jam his overall style and sound.
