15 November of 2019 by

It is another funky Friday where we get to highlight what is hot and trendy in the 254. This week we showcase brand new music from the likes of King Kaka, Boondocks gang and Bensoul. Check them out below.

Kidolee – Boondocks Gang

Three-man-gang championing the Gengetone sound in Kenya are still hot and wavy at it. Kidolee is another hit-record put together by Exray, Madox and Odi Wa Murang’a. The jam highlights having fun, sexual innuendos, and the Eastlands turn up ways. Check it out below.

Acknowledge – King Kaka ft Japesa

King Kaka is about to drop a mixtape titled ‘The Servant’, and ‘Acknowledge’ is the first single off the tape. Its Hip-hop cadence bangs hard. The jam uses Swahili, Dholuo and English, and Kaka brings out his classic poetry moves, making the jam glide smoothly and easy to listen.

Niombee – Bensoul

Sol Generation signee Bensoul has a jam out that furthers his dominance in the Afro-Soul sound in the 254. The jam ‘Niombee’ meaning Pray for me uplifts the mind and soul from the lyrics, instrumentation and layout. Vocals and BGV’s are on point making you wanna listen over and over.

2 By 2 – VDJ Jones Ft Timmy Tdat, Wendee, Gwaash, Kanali, Volkanoh

If you’re doubting Gengetone’s influence, listen to this track 2 by 2. Timmy Tdat is obviously a huge artist but he has hopped on the wave and shines a light on a load of new acts featured. The jam relies on street bars, storytelling and street swag to make it complete.
