12 July of 2019 by

Welcome to our weekly installation of what’s hot and trendy in the music scene in the city.

King Kaka Feat The Kansoul – Kula Vako

The multi-talented rapper, poet and entrepreneur King Kaka is still pushing the envelope in terms of musical sound. He’s teamed up with hit-makers The Kansoul for this street anthem ‘Kula Vako’ and it’s different. Heavy with sheng intonations and slowed down Genge beat, the jam fits the current sound in the city.

Timmy Tdat – Achika

Mr Kasabun is still on his Afro-Dancehall niche and he’s mastered the distinct sound to fit his audience. ‘Achika‘ is the newest release that speaks to lovers in strained relationships. Timmy takes it home with story-telling making the jam relatable.

Naiboi Ft Ben Pol – Mmoja

Smooth crooner Naiboi on his usual love songs to the ladies has landed him a collabo with Tanzanian ace Ben Pol. The two delve into hitting the notes while maintaining a cool and calm vibe. The two acts are at par in delivery and the result is a seamless melodic masterpiece. Check it out below.
