Another week we are delighted to take a look at what’s trending in the music arena of the 254 and the amazing artwork floating around.
Omollo- Khaligraph Jones
This jam dropped on the last days of 2017 and Khaligraph had much to say about it Here. I particularly love the jam as king Khali puts into perspective some of the current stereotypes like Blessers/Sponsors, dating tricks, clubbing and many more subtle topics that we are experiencing. The video just dropped a day ago and one thing is clear that we shall not see it on our Tv screens as Mr. Ezekiel Mutua will shoot it down. A well-done story by Enos Olik will have you staring at the featured vixens.
Jolie- Sasabasi Feat JRio
Sasabasi is a fairly new artist to the Kenyan audience as he is based in Houston Texas, USA. With this drop, he is seeking to capture the 254 ears and leave his mark just like STL or Victoria Kimani as an artist who is well known home and abroad. The jam Jolie has that Kapuka vibe, catchy and bouncy while the lyrics are utterly captivating. JRio delivers the amazing hook in French-lingo and blends perfectly. Do not sleep on Sasabasi in 2018.
Tamu Sana- Otile Brown Feat Shetta
Otile is one artist who has perfected his sound over time, understood his target audience and now his work ethic is turning out to be beyond par. Tamu Sana is the latest release from him featuring Shetta from Coastal region and it’s a straight hit for the ladies and evening Radio. The jam is candidly speaking to women and the video has the affirmation for the lovebirds. Check it out below.
Inside-Rosa Feat Naiboi
Rosa is the first lady of Flag 42 Music outfit and I feel like the industry is sleeping on her talent. She is a dope Femcee on the Hip Hop scene but she has not had a banger yet. ‘Inside’ featuring the hitmaker Naiboi might just be it. She exploits her musical versatility in style and language where she delivers English, Swahili, and Dholuo on the jam. Naiboi does his smooth vocals and cheeky lines to give the jam some vibes. The jam is produced by Mc Jegede from Pacho Records and Rosa states this was a dream collaboration. We hope she takes off with this one.
