Crispy Fresh! Brand New Music This Week

Happy New Year viberz! Crispy Fresh Friday is back to spruce up your playlist with Kenya’s hottest and freshest tunes. The year has begun on quite a good note as both collaborations and solo projects have graced our chart today. Additionally, the chart is also a multi-genre selection cutting across genres such as Afrobeat, Afropop, and Gospel.

Zoza – Mbuzi Gang Ft Navio & Vic West

Mbuzi Gang teamed up with Kuna Kuna hitmaker Navio and Ugandan sensation Navio for this banger. The track is upbeat and full of summer party vibes that will make you fall in love. In the usual Mbuzi Gang style, the hook is catchy and the visuals are simple yet full of color.

Umeme – Willy Paul

Smooth and easy are just some of the words to best describe Pozze’s new hit Umeme. In the lyrics, Willy Paul sings about his admiration of his lover’s beauty and how enchanting she is. The music video stars popular dancer Aggie the dance Queen and she doesn’t disappoint with her presence and dance moves.

Maliah – King Kanja Ft Kai Ca$h

Relationships can be tough and Maliah is a tale of the ups and downs that lovers go through.  US-Based Kenyan rapper King Kanja collaborated with Brooklyn rapper Kai Ca$h to bring this tune to life. The song is an Afrobeat tune and truly a showcase of these two rappers’ talent as far as songwriting and bars are concerned.

Anza Na Mimi Yesu – Boss M.O.G

Lastly, is Boss M.O.G who has begun the year on a high note with his crispy fresh tune Anza Na Mimi Yesu. Just as the name of the song suggests this song is a prayer asking to remember him when blessing others. It is a refreshing comeback from his last song which was dropped early last year. We sure hope to hear more from him this year.
