Crispy Fresh! Brand New Music From Kenyan Scene This Week!

As we wrap up the cold season of July, new music is dropping day in, day out. Our artists still have limited chances to showcase and perform their new jams since the pandemic is still blocking out major events. At KenyanVibe we hope you are keeping safe and protecting your loved ones from the deadly strain. Check out some of the new bangers that dropped recently.

Mejja – Siku Hizi Ni Kubad

Mejja has been steadily gaining his ground and fans are literally craving new music from him. He is the first old-school artist who easily transitioned into the Gengetone scene with super dope collaborations. He has woes with copyright infringements and we hope the new jam he dropped stays on Youtube. This new speaks about the fickle friendships and lifestyles people live by in this day and age. He highlights societal problems like money, family, and friends with such ease.

Nadia Mukami – Roho Mbaya

African Pop Star Nadia Mukami is back with another Afrocentric pop banger. She presents her 16th Studio Single titled ‘Roho Mbaya’ that depicts the struggles that each and every person goes through, from friends betraying you, to loved ones neglecting you and also the public in general wishing for your downfall. This strikes right at this moment when you do not know who to trust. It can easily be played as a Gospel and Secular track.

Buruklyn Boyz – Dream Ya Kutoka Kwa Block

The boyz repping Buruburu are back with ‘Drill Made In Nairobi’. On this new record, they are candid about a new group with dreams of altering the trajectory of their future. They easily paint a picture of the hood narrating the daily happening and activities in the hope of leaving the hood. This is a Sheng masterclass laid on a Drill beat. The cadence, rhymes schemes, and storytelling on the record is on the next level. Check out the video below.

Benzema Feat H_art The Band – Freshy

One of the standout individuals from Ochungulo Family is Benzema. As music fans, we never knew a collaboration between Benzema and Hart The Band was needed. This one here is a proper urban hit. The band brings on their prolific Afro vibes with some dope vocals and strings to hum along to. The video brings on the beautiful Michelle Ntalami of Marini Naturals who seems to understand the assignment. This is one record you can play for your parents, bae and on a long drive!
