Crispy Fresh! Brand New Music Closing Out August

As we wrap up the month of August, here are some hot tunes you need to curate on your monthly playlists.  You can also check out Kenyanvibe’s Soundcloud page for some dope music we put into a playlist for your listening pleasure. Check out this week’s installation of crispy fresh new music.

Fena – Siri

Fena is back and she narrates of a steamy clandestine love affair between friends, begging the question, “Would you rather be honest with your partner and risk losing it all, or keep it a secret and hope to never get caught?” This is telling of the urban Nairobi dating scene, notorious for entanglements of all kinds. In a sensual and soothing tone, “Siri” brings forth the uncomfortable conversation of infidelity in relationships, while giving the twisted point of view of the one cheating. The masterpiece is the third last release off Fena’s sophomore album “Unleashed”, ahead of the upcoming third album “LOVE IS…” set for 2021.

Ethic – Dondoka

Gengetone Godfathers Ethic are back with some fire music. The group has gifted us another banger produced by Motif Di Don dubbed ‘Dondoka’ that is an absolute bop. The jam brings some positivity in the air as they speak about moving forward and challenging yourself but if one hustle fails, get off ‘Dondoka’ and hop on to the next. When you check out the video below, you are guaranteed to smile. You can also check out our recent interview with the group here.

Timmy ‘n’ Twenny – Lately

Buzzing rap duo Timmy N Twenny have a new rap joint out dubbed ‘Lately’ and you just need to turn up your speakers on max to enjoy this. The smooth Trap Soul beat sits well with the hard-hitting bars from the two cats who rap about the A-list lifestyle they are living. It is a hight time the duo hits the mainstream as their catalogue is super impressive dropping dope songs every time. This single warms us up for ‘Hated Beloved’ EP that drops on  25th September 2020.

Breeder LW – Bazenga Daddii

Fast-rising Hip-hop cat Breezer LW is enjoying a taste of success as his career is taking off. His previous banger with Khaligraph Jones ‘ni Kubaya’ is on heavy rotation on mainstream media but he is not settling, he is back with a solo hit. The rapper dedicates this track to his fans to appreciate their unwavering support and cementing the phrase ‘Bazenga Daddii’. The jam has the Spanish guitar influences, and he slows down his rap but stays street with his sheng Lingo. Do not sleep on Breeder. Check out the latest single below.
