The long week is finally ushering in our most favourite time to be alive, the weekend! Below are amazing events to attend this coming weekend:

Luca Thrift Haul

The 3rd edition of the Luca Thrift Haul will be taking place on 11th September at the Botanical Garden Juja from 10 am till 7 pm. This event seeks to use fashion as a tool for social change by providing a safe space for people to discuss social injustices happening in the country. Luca Thrift Haul will be packed with lots of fun activities such as live performances, art exhibition, and a runway show just to mention a few. Alt Nai

Muze Club in Westlands will be playing the best of the city’s emerging sound on 11th September. Set to be hosted by MC Thayu Mwas, the event’s stage will be graced by fast-rising stars Ekumbo, Steph, Baraka, Jovvie Jovv and Asum Garvey among others. Gates open from 12noon till 8 pm. Entry is KES 500

Books & Wine

Book lovers will get a special treat at the Trademark Hotel this Saturday from 2 pm till 4 pm. The organizers are promising a one of kind experience that will feature lots of wine, book talk, playbook games and a meet and greet with like-minded people. Nairobi Horns Live

Music group Nairobi Horns Project (NHP) will be performing live at the Tamarind Tree Hotel Nairobi on 11th September. The event which is set to commence from 2 pm till 6 pm will also feature mixes from super DJ Wdjay. Under the hashtag #Jazziback, NHP is set to wow the crowd with their urban sound around horns that a blend of Jazz, African rhythms, Hip Hop and Electronic music. Click here to secure your tickets.

Sip & Dance

Two Grapes – Wine & Friends along George Padmore Road in Kilimani will open its doors for the sensual Bachata dance event dubbed, Sip & Dance on 11th September. According to the organizers the attendees will be treated to amazing drink offers and fun Bachata dancing with Afrobeat, Salsa, and Urban Kizomba. Gates open from 3 pm and entry is absolutely free.

Black Child Album Launch

Singer Mr Seed will be launching his album, ‘Black Child’ at the Pride Inn in Westlands. According to Mr Seed, this album will be filled with nothing but pure positivity. The red carpet launch which is set to take place this Sunday 12th September will commence from 2 pm. The dress code is classy with a touch of Africa.
