Congratulations Angella Okutoyi on First Ever US Open’s Game Win

On Sunday Kenyan Tennis Player won her first game at the US Open against Carolina Kuhl from Germany.

Okutoyi began the impressive US Open campaign by beating the German in two sets 2-0 (7-6, 7-5)

The young Kenyan is scheduled to play Australian Taylah Preston in the second round of the Junior US Open Championship.

Angella Okutoyi Secures Another Global Doubles Win in Canada

The 18 year’s old win in the US Open comes fresh off the heels of her winning the doubles title at the J1 Repentigny Tournament in Canada alongside Polish partner Malwina Rowinska.

Okutoyi said her target in the US Grand Slam is to get to at least the quarter finals, beating her achievement in Australia where she reached the third round.

“Definitely I feel very excited because it was a tough tournament. I earned very good experience and the atmosphere was also great and it prepared me well for the US Open. I am more than delighted to have capped that off with a win,” She said.

She added; “It has added me some motivation for the US Open and I hope to do well especially in the singles.”

The Young Tennis player looks to replicate her doubles success in the singles.
