Top comic Chipukeezy has landed yet another international gig that sets him apart from those of his ilk in the 254. He will be hosting the 4th edition of the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) set to go down on the 8th of October at the House Of Blues Dallas, Texas.
Chipukeezy was selected to host the prestigious award ceremony alongside Nigerian ace gagster Bright Okpocha aka Basketmouth.
Through an announcement by CEO Anderson Obiagwu, he was elated to say: “Ladies and Gentlemen, we present to you the hosts for AFRIMMA 2017 Awards & Music Festival – Africa’s Number 1 Comedian @basketmouth (Nigeria) and East African Comedy Champion @chipukeezy (Kenya). It’s the best of both worlds as West Africa meets East Africa on the grand stage!!!”
As voting continues, Chupukeezy urges Kenyans to vote for our artists nominated in various categories like ‘Best Male Artist East Africa’ which include, Nyashinski, Sauti Sol, battling against Diamond Platinumz and Bebe Cool. Akothee, Victoria Kimani, and Avril are challenging Vanessa Mdee and Lady Jay Dee for Best Female Artist, East Africa;
Sauti Sol will take on Micasa from South Africa, Bracket from Nigeria and Yamoto band From Tanzania for the ‘Best African Group’. Nominated for Video Of The Year is Victoria Kimani for her jam ‘Fade Away’. Producer Vista is fighting for the ‘Producer Of The Year’ category. The Kenyan DJs are not left out as we have Dj Joe Mfalme, Dj Creme, and DJ Kalonji all fighting for the crown. Dj Fully Focus and Dj Poizon Ivy are rooting for the African DJ in the USA category.
