Coke Studio has finally dropped the music video for the song Tonight and we are super excited. The audio which was originally performed during Coke Studio 2019 season, features super talented Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones and Nigeria’s legendary Rudeboy. The two stars were paired up during the second episode of Coke Studio Africa 2019 where Rudeboy did a cover of Khaligraphs’ song Kasayole and Khaligraph getting out of his comfort zone to give a different version of Rudeboy’s song Reality.
The 4:11 minutes long track is a feel-good song that one can jam to anytime. Shot in a club and beach party setting, the video has high-quality visuals and both artistes showcase their musical prowess. Their vocals blend well with the smooth audio track which was produced by renowned Kenyan producer Magic Mike. Tonight is the third music video produced by Coke Studio Africa, after Said by Nasty C and Runtown, and Switch It Up by Boity, Nazizi and Lioness.
Speaking about the video, Khaligraph could not hide his excitement and appreciation to Coke Studio.
“I love music and I have a lot of respect for Rudeboy given his vast experience in the African music scene. When I was asked to cover his music I was a little apprehensive, mostly because I would not be rapping. However, the outcome was a dope track that exceeded my expectations and I thank my fans for urging me on. I am grateful to Coke Studio for understanding this and giving us the resources to shoot and deliver an awesome video,” he said.
