If you haven’t already, catch Kenyan actor Owiso Odera in August Wilson’s Pulitzer winning theatrical play Two Trains Running. The play which started its cycle in early February in New York, will be showing at The Greene Space on Charlton Street, in September.
Two Trains Running is set in 1969 in Pittsburgh’s Hill District. It tells the story of a local diner owner who fights to stay open as a municipal project encroaches on his establishment. His regulars must deal with racial inequality and the turbulent, changing times.
Directed by Michele Shay and featuring actors Owiso Odera, Ron Cephas Jones, James A. Williams, Leon Addison Brown and Harvy Blanks.
