Next month, one of the world’s biggest modelling contest, Elite Model Look, will be coming to Nairobi to search for fresh, new faces. Elite Model Look Nigeria, a franchise holder of Elite Model Look Global, is set to cast female models in Kenya on the 14th of July.
Over the years, the organizers have put together an annual show in Nigeria since obtaining the franchise from the EML Global Management in 2007. This year, however, they are looking to spread their tentacles to some other parts of Africa including Ghana, Rwanda, Sudan, Ethiopia and Kenya.
The competition has produced some of Nigeria’s top models such as Mayowa Nicholas, Nora Uche, Glory Egwede among others. Renowned international supermodel Cindy Crawford too was discovered at an EML contest.
To be eligible to enter the competition, the model must be between the ages of 16 and 25, 5’9 to 5’11 tall, have striking features that will make them stand out from the pack.
Winners from the different countries represented will head to Nigeria for the National finals in September. Thereafter, those who ace the National finals will fly to New York to represent Africa at the grand finale.
