Call For Filmmakers To Submit Entries For Massive Opportunity

My Rode Reel is calling for submissions from filmmakers for the My Rode Reel Short Film Competition 2020. Organized by Australian microphone designing and manufacturing company Rode Microphones, this competition is dubbed the world’s largest short film competition. This film contest hopes to empower and kick start the winners’ film making journey through the monumental USD 1 million cash prize that is up for grabs.

According to the organizers, this edition will be bigger and better as the winners will also receive loads of amazing film making tools and gears in addition to the cash prizes. The competition has 3 major categories of contest i.e:

Judges Prize – Winners for this category will be selected by the Judges.

Genre Prize – The film genres up for contest in this category are Drama, Comedy, Documentary, Animation and Behind The Scenes.

Special Prizes – This will comprise of People’s Choice, Young Film Maker (entrants must be aged between 13-20 years old), Sound Design and Best Chinese Film.

To participate, one must submit a short film that is longer that 60 seconds and not exceeding 3 minutes and also, the behind the scenes film that is of the same duration limits by clicking here. One can submit multiple entries as long as the film has never been submitted before and meets the competition’s requirements. Film makers from all countries except North Korea, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia are eligible to apply for this competition.
