Kenya’s 1st themed music & arts festival, Blankets & Wine is back to close out the 2019 in style. Announcing on the dates on Twitter, festival organizer Muthoni Drummer Queen promised Kenyans a summer they’ll never forget.
Two dates have been set aside for the event. December 22 a celebration and toast to 2019, the year that has been and January 5th 2020 to usher in the new year at an all-time festival high.
Jamaica’s newest sensation Koffee is set to perform in Nairobi in one of the dates set for Blankets & Wine. Koffee, whose international hit ‘Toast’ off her debut EP Rapture will be performing in Africa for her first time.
Among other acts who will hit the stage alongside Koffee include Fena, sunELMusician, Sol Generation acts including Nviiri and Bensoul.
To keep the fans guessing, Muthoni Drummer Queen also put out a tweet with other possible names that will perform in January. She floated big names like Sho Madjozi, Mahalia, Burna Boy, Kida Kudz, Aye Nakamura, Odunsi, Jidenna and others.
