In celebration of African creativity and ingenuity, leading beer brand Guinness is releasing a series dubbed Black Shines Brightest Stories. Directed by seasoned Kenyan filmmaker Nick Mutuma, the show premieres on Maisha Magic East on 23rd July at 6:30 pm.
The series showcases an unfiltered coverage of how Kenyan creatives in various industries – music, fashion, food, and arts explore their talents. In addition to that, the Guinness-sponsored show also highlights how these creatives appreciate their respective cultures and their aspirations as young creatives.
Some of the creatives featured in this series, include fashion designer Boguk, visual artist Catherine Jepkemboi popularly known as Minicheps, and Samantha and Natalie, the founders of Mama Rocks Gourmet Burgers, and renowned producer, DJ Suraj among others.
“Black Shines Brightest Stories is an immersive journey into the diverse creative talent that Kenya has to offer. It reveals the challenges that these creatives have faced along the way and the resounding success they are now reaping as a result.” said Nick Mutuma.
After the 23rd July premiere, this show will also air on the same station on the 24th, 30th, and 31st of July.
