Bien Aime-Baraza Takes COLORS Studios Stage with ‘True Love’

Bien Aime-Baraza from Sauti Sol has joined the elite ranks as the fourth Kenyan artist to grace the COLORSxSTUDIOS platform, where he delivered a mesmerizing performance of his latest hit, ‘True Love.’ Notably, he’s the first male RnB singer from Kenya to be featured, following three multi-talented Kenyan women who’ve already left their mark on the platform with stellar performances.

COLORSxSTUDIOS is renowned for its impeccable production value, offering a blend of superb sonic quality and striking visuals that perfectly accentuate Bien’s legendary musical prowess. With his passionate crooning and a knockout performance, the stage was set on fire.

COLORSxSTUDIOS shared their appreciation on Instagram, saying, “Kenyan songwriter, musician, and vocalist Bien brings the good vibes with his uplifting performance of his new single ‘True Love’.”

For Bien, this opportunity was a dream come true. He revealed, “I have been watching COLORS for years, so when @spotifyafrica called and asked if I was interested, it was a no-brainer! Stream ‘True Love’ from my new album on all DSPs now. Thank you SPOTIFY for being incredible!”

Spotify has teamed up with COLORSxSTUDIOS to spotlight the soulful rhythms of Kenyan R&B through six exclusive ‘A Colors Show’ performances.

This musical journey started with the talented singer-songwriter Lisa Oduor-Noah as the first artist to grace the COLORS stage. She mesmerized the audience with her rendition of “For Keeps,” a song she penned back in 2017.

Xenia Manasseh, a singer-songwriter and a Spotify RADAR artist, took the stage next with her ethereal vocals and masterful lyrics, adding another layer of excellence to the series.

Former Camp Mullah member Karun was also featured, delivering a heartfelt performance of ‘Only You,’ a song that paid homage to a past lover. She shared her future aspirations, saying, “I hope to keep discovering who I am and just being fiercely myself in whatever medium that is, and so music is what I’m doing right now, and I hope it kind of just gets a bit more powerful.”

Monica Kemoli-Savanne, Spotify’s Artist & Label Partnerships Manager, East Africa, expressed her delight in making these collaborations a reality. She emphasized the importance of elevating African artists to global stages, and the COLORSxSTUDIOS partnership is a step in the right direction.

This collaboration between Spotify and COLORSxSTUDIOS aims to introduce global audiences to Kenya’s vibrant music scene, showcasing the rich talent the country has to offer.

COLORSxSTUDIOS, a renowned German music performance platform, is celebrated for its minimalist aesthetic videos and has garnered over five million subscribers on its YouTube channel since its inception in February 2016. Their commitment to shining a spotlight on unique artists and original sounds resonates with audiences around the world.
