Begin Your October At these Amazing Events

October is upon us and its first weekend is sure packed with amazing gigs to attend. So without any further ado below are this weekend’s events:

Bachata Night

Dance instructor Jos Lyon will be hosting a Bachata dance Night at the Village Market Food Court on 1st October. Set to take place from 6 pm to 8 pm, attendees will get to enjoy fun lessons in the sensual Bachata dance. Entry is absolutely free.

GLL Film Premiere

Kenyan film A Grand Little Lie (GLL) will premiere on 1st October at the Nairobi Cinema at a red carpet event that is set to take place from 5 pm till 7 pm. Written and directed by respected Kenyan filmmakers Abel Mutua and Philip Karanja respectively, GLL is a story about a young man called Joe whose people-pleasing and deceitful ways cost him dearly after his lies eventually catch up with him. Beautiful People

Sagret Gardens along Kiambu Road will be hosting H_art The Band and Code Black for the Afro Jam Edition of Beautiful People concert. Set to take place on 2nd October, the gates will be opened from 10 am till 7 pm. Tickets are available here.

Oktober Fest

Craft Beer Garden in Karen will open its doors for the Oktober Fest on 2nd October. Attendees will get to enjoy a variety of beers, ciders, and other craft brewers. Gates will open from 11 am till late. Entry is KES 1,000 that is fully redeemable at the bar.

Nebula

Fifteen Rooftop off Mombasa road will open its doors for the 2nd edition of Nebula on 2nd October. The event which is in conjunction with NBO Prime and Glenfiddich Whisky will serve its revelers with delectable food and drinks, picturesque sunset views 15 floors above the beautiful Nairobi National Park, and great music mixes. Passenger 555

Singer Karun and producer Jinku will be performing live at Goethe Institute’s Live Stream event dubbed Passenger 555 on 2nd October. Set to begin from 8 pm, the event will stream live on Goethe Institute Kenya Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Kemikal Experience

Popular comic Terence Creative and Gengetone Group Matata will be headlining the Moran Brunch dubbed the Kemikal Experience on 3rd October. They will be joined on stage by Jalango, DJ Tibs, Sparks Nderu and I Am Atieno on stage. Set to take place at the Moran Lounge along Kiambu Road, entry is KES 500.
