Barack Obama Wins An Emmy for narrating Documentary featuring ‘Tsavo National Park’.

Former president Barack Obama has won an Emmy Award for best narrator for his Netflix documentary series, Our Great National Parks.

The five-part series by Obamas’ production company, ‘Higher Ground’ beat other contenders including Lupita Nyong’o, David Attenborough and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Our Great National Parks showcased some of the planet’s most spectacular national parks including Kenya’s, Tsavo National Park, Rwanda’s Volcanoes Park, Yellowstone in Western United States, Manuel Antonio in Costa Rica, Australia’s Kakadu and Chilean Patagonia …

The series that first aired in April also features Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, Tsingy The Bamaraha on the Islands of Madagascar, Hanauma Bay In Hawaii, Loango in Gabon and more.

Barack Obama’s Experience in Kenya

While giving a peak on Tsavo National Park, the former President recounted travelling to Kenya over 30 years ago, visiting his family in the village and for the first time going on Safari.

Obama explored Tsavo National Park, home to Kenya’s largest elephant population as well as Rhinos, Hippopotamus, Big Cats, primates and other wildlife.

He describes Tsavo as “A wilderness of boundless space, breathtaking beauty and wildlife on an epic scale.”
