Bahati’s Latest Music Release ‘Wanani’ Pulled Down From YouTube Over Copyright Claim

Singer Bahati is the latest victim of Copyright strikes by YouTube after his latest release Wanani Toto Si Toto was pulled down due to copyright claims. The complainant named JIVU, filed the complaint a few days after the song was released.

The exact reason behind the Copyright strike is yet to be established. Bahati who was recently crowned as the most followed solo Gospel artiste in Africa on Instagram with over 2M followers, is yet to officially respond to this. The Lala Amka singer has pulled down the YouTube links to the song on his social media handles.

Wanani Toto Si Toto music video in which he featured his wife Diana’s best friend Phoina as the video vixen was receiving favourable reviews from both fans and critics before this copyright strike. It even trended number 1 on YouTube during its short span of release.

Even though many argue that the Copyright strike feature on YouTube is being misused by malicious people, many artists have found themselves in this conundrum.  Artistes such as Harmonize and Tekashi 6ix9ine  have ever been issued with copyright strikes on the streaming platform in the recent past.
