Award-winning Kenyan singer Bahati has ruffled a few feathers after he was accused of stealing his successful song ‘Pete Yangu’ from a Rwandese singer known as Butera Knowles.
Butera released her song ‘Peke Yangu” 5 years ago and according to hawk-eyed netizens, the videos to the two are freakishly similar.
Bahati’s song featuring Nadia Mukami off his new album ‘Love Like This’ blew up after its release and currently has over 600K views on YouTube and still counting.
These new accusations could see Bahati’s song brought down from the platform, but no such action has been taken yet.
None of the concerned parties has spoken up about the matter, but only time will tell.
This is the first time such accusations have been levelled against Bahati.
