In an effort to boost Nairobi’s overlooked vibrant urban music scene, award winning Kenyan producer Blackman will be showcasing and curating a series of live acoustic performances dubbed ‘Nairobi Sessions‘
The purpose of the live performances will be to boost and expose audiences to Nairobi’s vibrant urban music scene that is not recognized both locally and internationally. The sessions will be showcased weekly and will feature different artists from the Nairobi urban music scene.
This weeks series features two artists, Sara Mitaru and Nanjira, who are both signed to Blackman Entertainment.
Sara Mitaru is a musician from Kenya and is know as one of East Africa’s best vocalists and has toured both Europe and the US. Her latest single ‘Keep me from you’ featuring Nigerian artist Bez was released late last year.
Nanjira is an eclectic singer redefining pop and contemporary Urban music in East Africa. She released her debut single ‘Walking’ late year.
