The world renowned online music broadcasting platform Boiler Room is making a return to Nairobi in January 2020. The platform streams live music sessions in various cities across the world and has been doing so from 2010.
With an audience of up-to 400,000 watching, Kenya’s breakout genre Gengetone might increase its longevity once Boiler Room checks in to the city on 30th January 2020. This event will be sponsored by premium drink Ballantine’s.
On the bill come that day, we have our very own Boondocks Gang, Femi One, Ochungulo Family, DJ Lyta, DJ Kalonje and DJ Tryce going back to back on set and exposing the world to our sound.
Boiler Room serves the purpose of exploring underground collectives, artists and subcultures from across the world; and Low Heat, a series of parties and films celebrating new artists. This is the chance for our Kenyan crews to start booking shows abroad.
If you are a fan of the sound, the music and underground trends about to go mainstream, Boiler Room Nairobi should be on your calendar.
