This week, a post from Just A Band’s Instagram page led many to freak out (in a good way); one of Kenya’s fave music groups might make a comeback.
Fans are never ready when their favourite acts announce retirement, exit, or hiatus. Although we understand that sometimes this needs to happen but it never stops the endless complaints and even begging for them to make a comeback.
The new Instagram account already with over 4,000 likes bio reads; “those four guys” and an abstract picture of the sun or circle on a purple background.
The comment section is full of fans celebrating the possible comeback while others are even afraid of getting their hopes up!
Blinky Bill, Jim Chuchu, Mbithi Masya and Daniel Muli formed the house, funk, disco and hip-hop band in 2008; released some award-winning bangers such as “Ha He”, “Huff + Puff”, “Probably for Lovers”, viral “Makmende” before taking a hiatus to pursue solo careers in 2016. They also worked on so many other cool projects as well as performing at big international concerts.
We are so ready!! It has been a long wait.
