Renown Media Personality Anne Kiguta danced with her Punchline team for the last time in a goodbye video.
Taking to her Instagram page, the media personality posted the video of them dancing to an old Kenyan hit by Nonini.
She paired the video with a long emotional caption in which she thanked them and wished them all the best.
“It takes a ❤️TEAM❤️. #Punchline is an intense program. Often before we go on air we are a beehive of actives. But yesterday my crew put on this old school hit and well I couldn’t help myself. We had a great program but little did we know that nearly my entire team would have put on air their last production at K24. It was a great pleasure working with you all and getting to know you. You are ⭐️ . Thank you for all your technical support on #Punchline. I couldn’t have done it without you. May God open wide new great doors for you all,” wrote Anne Kiguta.
Many employees from Mediamax’s K24 woke up to the sad news that their time at the firm had come to an end after their roles were declared redundant.
Her team got the boot alongside other big names. On announcing her exit, Kiswahili news anchor Nancy Onyancha said, “On to the Next assignment.K24 Tv.it has been 7 years of greatness.”
The lay off came barely a month after Betty Kyallo called it quits from the station during her popular Weekend with Betty show noting that Saturday, May 30, was her last day at the broadcaster.
“I really appreciate you all. It is now time for me to say goodbye here on K24 TV. Thank you so much for all the support, I appreciate you, God bless you and I love you,” announced Betty as she signed out.
The COVID-19 situation has been hard on many employers and employees alike, we wish them all prosperity in their future endeavours.
