Renowned international gospel artist Donny McClurkin was involved in an accident on December 13, just two days before his scheduled performance at Two Rivers Mall in Nairobi.
The popular singer took to Facebook to recount the horrific incident saying only God saved him. He passed out while driving and his car ended up hitting a concrete island.
“Was in a serious accident at 12:50 AM this morning…passed out while driving on the highway. Totalled the car…hospitalized, going through a myriad of tests,” McClurkin narrated on Facebook.
“Lost consciousness driving but two human angels followed my swerving car with their emergency blinkers on to stop traffic ….drove behind me until my car crashed into the middle concrete island.”
Despite the accident which left him with several minor injuries, McClurkin said he’ll still perform at the concert set for December 15th.
“Somewhat mangled, stitches on left thumb, sprained wrist, hurt knee, but I’m still here! God and two angels saved my life! I owe them,” McClurkin said.
It’s not the first time, however, McClurkin will be in Kenya. He has been a frequent visitor in Bishop Allan Kiuna’s Church and has even graced several events in the country.
