Motown in Nairobi is the ultimate starter pack for your Mashujaa weekend. The concert which will be celebrating its 7th edition will go down at the Hub Karen on the 18th of this month. The concert which seeks to celebrate and appreciate Motown Music from the 1960s all the way to the 1990s, has had its stage graced by some of the most respected Kenyan vocalists such as Mercy Myra, Ian Mbugua, Aaron Rimbui and Dela among others.
According to the organizers, this edition will be bigger and better. It will feature live performances from artists such as Webi, Ciano Maimba, Noel Nderitu, Chris Bittok, James Gogo, Lisa Oduor-Noah, Kaz, Noel Nderitu, Suzziah, Elvis Who, June Gachui, Kasiva, Angie Gachui, Benjamin Kabaseke and the Nairobi Horns Project among others. They will be performing covers of songs from respected Motown artistes such as Diana Ross, The Jackson Five, Luther Vandross, Lionel Richie and a bunch more.
