Actor Ken Ambani Appointed As County Executive

Actor Ken Ambani has been appointed to head the Public Service Administration, Youth, Gender, Social Services, and Sports docket in the latest Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir’s appointments.

The governor made the announcement yesterday during a major reshuffle of his cabinet.

On social media, Ambani shared the news saying that he’s happy for the opportunity to serve the people of Mombasa.

“I offer my heartfelt gratitude to HE The Governor of Mombasa county and his appointed recruitment and selection panel on my nomination to serve as CECM – Public Service Administration, Youth, Gender, Sports and Social Services,” he said.

“It’s a great honour bestowed upon me to serve the people of our great County and for that, I say thank you. Sir, you can count on my unending support to ensure that your vision for this great County is achieved. God bless Kenya. God bless Mombasa. God bless the great people of Mombasa. #StrategicGrowth #MunguMbele.”

Previously, Ambani was the Coast Regional Manager of Postal Corporation of Kenya.

He has also acted in numerous Kenyan programs and films and is one of the most consistent actors in Kenya. Ambani started acting in the late 90s and early 2000s after landing a role in the local TV classic drama Tausi.

Ambani joins a long list of entertainment figures and journalists who have been appointed to head government or county posts in following the recent General Elections.
