Lovers’ Guide Through The Valentine’s Weekend

Valentine’s Day is almost here and different Kenyans have different expectations of it. The choice to celebrate or ignore it is purely a personal one, but below are some gigs to consider for the weekend of love:

Koroga Festival

Dubbed the Love edition, this will be the 29th edition of the Festival and it will go down at Hell’s Gate Naivasha. The event which is scheduled to run from 14th February 2020 to 15th February will feature performances from music heavyweights such as Ochunglo Family, Nadia Mukami, Khalighraph Jones, Mike Rua, H_ART The Band and Diamond Platinumuz.

Love Is A Funny Thing Comedy Experience

This event will be happening at Kiza Lounge Ballroom in Galana Plaza on the 15th of February at 6:00 pm. Its stage will be graced by live performances from Atemi Oyungu, Ivlyn Mutua, Chris Adwar, Alisha Popat, Tetu Shani, Gordons from Nigeria, Oga Obinna and Eric Omondi.

Lovers & Friends – Redfourth Chorus Valentines Concert

This will be a musical celebration of love that will feature live performances from Redfourth Vox, Kala and Filah Tuju backed by a live band. It is scheduled to go down at the Rosslyn Riviera Mall on 14th February 2020 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. It is open to couples, singles and friends to show up and enjoy love songs from Old School RnB, New School love jams and African Love classics.

Through Thick and Thin

The event which will be going down at the Garden City Mall will be hosted by top Kenyan comedians Njugush and Wakavinye. This will be the premiere experience for the stand-up comedy gig. Gates will be open from 7:00 pm till late.

Pillow Talk Movie Premiere

The 74 mins long Kenyan movie will be launching at Anga Imax, 20th Century, Mama Ngina Street and Nairobi CBD on the 14th of February 2020. It will continue to screen till 16th February 2020. Pillow Talk is a story about two strangers who wake up in the same bed after a drunken one-night stand. The stars in this feature film are the talented Muhugu Theuri and Emmanuel Mugo. It has been produced by Alice Wangui, directed by Jennifer Gatero and written by Charles Chanchori. Tickets are retailing at 1000/-
