A Look Into The Shop Zetu & Safaricom Partnership

Kenyan Apparel Store Shop Zetu has partnered with Safaricom, Kenya’s largest mobile network operator, to launch the Shop Zetu Mini App on the M-PESA Super App. This move will enable more than 7 million M-PESA Super App customers to shop and pay for men’s and women’s fashion from over 200 vendors on Shop Zetu. According to Safaricom, customers will be able to receive their orders within three days of making the purchase.

The CEO of Shop Zetu CEO, Marvin Kiragu, expressed his excitement at partnering with Safaricom and leveraging their digital and financial solutions to empower their 200 partners. “We are delighted to partner with Safaricom and leverage their digital and financial solutions to empower our more than 200 partners. The Mini App expands our reach to more than 7 million customers while also providing Kenyans with access to a trusted and reliable source for the latest fashion trend.” He said.

Shop Zetu has been at the forefront of promoting Kenyan fashion. With a mission of becoming Africa’s largest fashion e-commerce company, it also provides vendors with an arsenal of tools for online fashion retail. These include digital marketing, content creation, logistics, warehousing, and last-mile fulfillment.

Through this partnership, Safaricom will enable hundreds of fashion business owners to reach millions of customers on M-PESA. It will also connect customers to a wide variety of trusted, affordable, and quality fashion.

The fashion store joins other mini apps such as Mookh, AAR Insurance, Buu Pass, etc. on the MPESA Super app. To access the Shop Zetu Mini App, M-PESA customers can select the “Services” option on the M-PESA Super App.
