5 Ways To Create A Productive Work-from-home Ecosystem

After the global pandemic, the number of people working from home has drastically increased, with fewer people commuting to work. However, working from home doesn’t seem to be as productive as physical offices. Sometimes, you feel sluggish, sometimes you yawn. Yes, I do! The key to being as productive as in-office is creating a home-office environment.

Here are five ways to get motivated and productive as before:-

Plan and Setup Your Day

It is crucial to have a schedule and a to-do list of all the tasks and activities you would like to achieve by the end of the day. Planning helps you stay active throughout the day and maintain a routine that’s best suited for you.

Wake Up Early

Just because you are working from does not mean you wake up at noon. However, waking up early helps you start the day on a high note. Additionally, our bodies are more active in the morning, and we get to achieve a lot when we start the day early.

Minimize Distractions

Distractions may include; being on the phone scrolling through social media platforms, a barking dog, etc., creating a terrible work environment and slowing down your day. Find a way to minimize the distractions such as wearing noise cancellation earphones, setting your phone on ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode, etc.

Dress Up

Working from home does not have to be boring. Take a shower, get dress up and start your day. However, working in your sleeping attires or pajamas can be demotivating, which leads to an unproductive day.

Start a Reward System

Having a reward system after completing a task or after a productive day can keep you motivated to wake up every day to get work done. A reward can include a solo coffee date at a local coffee shop in your neighborhood or even a glass or two of wine at the end of the day, etc.
