2018 has just flashed before our eyes. Much has happened and we can’t believe it’s only a few weeks shy from coming to an end. This year has seen the Kenyan music grow with fresh music being dropped by Kenyan artistes. For instance, it was the year the amazing trio Elani did their second album after a long hiatus. The year has also seen the likes of Khaligraph Jones, Magix Enga, King Kaka, Octopizzo, Avril, Sauti Sol, Nyashinski, Nameless, Willy Paul, MDQ and Guardian Angel, among others continue to release good music. However, there are female artists who fans would love to get a single from before the year wraps up:
This beautiful award winning Gospel singer became a household name after releasing amazing songs such as Nishikilie, Usiku Na Mchana and Holy Day among others. The beautiful singer also doubles up as a TV host for the Gospel Music Show Kubamba which airs on Citizen. Her last release was the song Count Your Blessings which was dropped this year March.

This lovely gospel singer is known for her humble beginnings apart from her uplifting gospel tunes. With certified hits like Narudisha and Kitanzi among others in her repertoire, she is definitely a certified superstar. The last song she released was Huniachi which she was featured in by Reuben Kigame and Sifa Voices which was released in July this year.
Her lyrical prowess remains unmatched. With certified hits like Kuchizi and Biashara, the Norway based rapper is one the most talented Kenyan rappers. The multi award winning rapper made her last release No Games in April 2018.
Known for her stellar vocal presence, Mayonde is definitely a sweet heart to her fans. She has done a lot in her music career apart from releasing her own songs, for instance, she has done BGVs for artistes in Coke Studio. She is known for hits such as Nairobi which she performed alongside rapper Stonee Jiwe and Kama Kawaida which she collaborated with MDQ, Fena Gitu and Kagwe Mungai. Her last song Chini Kwa Chini was released this year February.

Originally a member of the Sema Trio, this beautiful singer’s sultry voice has wowed her fans in Kenya and beyond. She joined the Kenyan music scene at a young age and managed to release songs with superstars like Juacali. Her musical journey boast of churning some of the most certified hits such as Kwaheri and Najuta among others. Her last release was Amina which was dropped last year.
